Topic: The EuroMeSCo Annual Conference and General Assembly Date: 15-17 May 1998 Place: Royal Institute at the Royal Institute of International Afairs-London Dr. Mahdi Abdul Hadi, presented a research paper on Palestinian civil society institutions and their role in the state-building process.

Topic: Annual Coordination Meet-ing of the Arab Social Science            Network (ASSR) Date: 31 May – 5 June 1998 Place: Amman PASSIA, a founding member of ASSR, was represented by Dr. Mahdi Abdul Hadi, who participated in workshops on Parliamentary Elections in the Arab World, organized by the Al-Urdun Al-Jadid Research Center, Amman; and Corruption in the Third World, organized by the Ibn Khaldoun Center, Cairo. Dr. Mahdi Abdul Hadi participated in all of these activities.
